TrueFiling
Electronic filing filings in the Courts of Appeal and some Supreme Court filings in civil, criminal, juvenile delinquency and dependency and original proceedings must be filed through TrueFiling. (California Rules of Court, Rule 8.70 and Rule 87.1)

- Panel attorneys will need to register and obtain a TrueFiling user ID and password to use the service.
TrueFiling Fees and Serving CAP-LA
For cases appointed after March 1, 2020, in the Second District, the temporary filing fee waiver is no longer authorized. TrueFiling expenses can be reimbursed as a case related expense on your compensation claims on Line 6 “Ct eFiling/eServices”.
CAP-LA needs a copy of all documents filed in an appointed appeal to process your compensation claims. Please serve CAP-LA via email to capdocs@lacap.com, instead of through TrueFiling to ensure we have the needed copies.
